Married to a sports junkie? How deep is it for you?

I know there are alot of sports widows out there, married or not if you have a partner deep into sports than you will appreciate the blog today.  We are in the process of trying to enjoy a little family time off over the Christmas/New Years break.  Honestly?  I don't mind the sports thing infringing on the holiday.  I have grown to appreciate the deep acumen of sports statistics.  I don't mind the obession being something that is not alcohol, drugs or other women.  I admire the brain space it takes up in my mates head, as long as he remembers birthdays and anniversary's.  But the fantasy drafts?  That takes the obsession a few steps to the right too far.

While on holiday, at the theater no less, the smartphone starting lighting up with pick's for the fantasy basketball team league.  His partner is on vacay somewhere else and more focused on the team pic's then on his lobster dinner on a island somewhere out in the middle of nowhere.  Half focused these guys are spending HOURS dreaming about the Heat instead of enjoying the heat. I should be used to the vacant eyes and the half-hearted conversation by now.  I usually don't expect more than that on a daily basis but on vacay I feel like it should be a bit more.  Maybe if I practice my jump shot more I can get some extra credit points in the league?  Or perhaps there is a new rule for MVP wife award?
