Am I the only one that misses their Blackberry?

One of my friends recently complained that my email responses have become unusually brief. Brief like Yes, No or Maybe.

"Is everything okay between us?" she asked.

I stopped her dead in her tracks. "Do you really want to know what the problem is?" I said.

She looked at me with that WTF did I do look?

"I can't type on my iphone," I confessed, and proceeded to release a tirade about hitting the wrong keys, fat fingers, auto correct-incorrect spelling, and the general loss of my ability to answer emails away from my desk.

"Everything comes out f**king garbled and it takes me twice as long to type." I concluded.

In one of those heart-to-heart conversations, I told her that I was probably the only person who DIDN'T want to have sex with their new iphone.

I miss my blackberry. I miss the feel of the keys. I could type without looking. I could write an entire essay on my blackberry. My thumbs were really toned in those days. It's all mush now.

Things I like about the iphone...speed of accessing the internet, all those fun apps, the syncing of all your apple products, the camera, and the incredibly beautiful screen.

And while I'm on a bitch roll, That Siri thing and I don't get along so well, either. Can't they make an app that re-voices her? I want a throaty British guy, not some femme-bot.

Some people say that it just takes time to get used to the iphone. But more than 8 weeks? How MUCH time are we talking?

This is the longest learning curve, ever. Until then...it's back to Yes, No, Maybe.
