The pictures made me do it!

In the December double issue of New York Magazine, authors Rob Patronite and Robin Raisfeld cover the current bread renaissance in NYC. Thankfully, or not, they're wonderful reporting can be found here, with pictures that are as close to bread porn as you can get. Using adjectives like, springy, creamy, moist, rich, flaky, nutty, OMG...these authors get your panties in a twist in a nano-second.

WARNING! For those of us who are trying to swear off those kind of carbs for the New Year, don't look at the slide show. Not only are the pictures mouth watering, they can spark a bit of a frenzy which might lead you to the feared bread bender...you know when the basket arrives to the table and you inhale the whole thing and ask for a refill? Adding insult to injury here, the authors even tell you where to get the bread.

I smell ROAD TRIP. Any takers?
