Oscar Noms

Who's it going to be this year?

It's front page news in LA on Oscar nomination day, and from this day forward to the broadcast on February 26th.  It's everywhere.  Every magazine, every news related show,  everywhere.  I am sure that even the Presidents state of the union, tonight  had lower ratings than the early morning Oscar nominations broadcast.  I'm psyched to have Billy Crystal back as the host but must admit to being curious to see how Brett Ratner an Eddie Murphy would have done with the show.

This year you know there will be an opening number (or some number) shot in black in white, with old music, silent movie style like The Artist meets Jonah Hill from Moneyball.   I can just see Billy Crystal and the writers going crazy for that.  I don't know about you, but I can't wait for that 5 hour broadcast.  I'm down for the ad campaign blitz, the fashion choices on the Red Carpet, the betting pool to see who wins. It's all good. Let the countdown begin!
