Artisanal French Fries
If you say it that way, of course I'll eat them.
Thankfully, I hate the smell of fast food fries so believe it or not, that is one food that I've never "face loaded". (Pull your mouth up to the table, park it, and load it).
My husband makes fun of me all the time about my reasons which govern my food choices because he thinks I am the world's biggest food hypocrite.
"You'll eat Cheetos, but not french fries?" he loves to state.
"Whipped cream but not ice cream? he'll add.
The list goes on and on. I just ignore him and do my own thing.
Yesterday I tried something called truffle french fries. They were flecked with parmigiano reggiano cheese, parsley and truffle oil. They had the most amazing earthy flavor that I've ever tasted on anything fried. Extraordinarily addictive. Orgasmic. Face loading at its finest.
My husband gave that "hypocrite face" as I licked my shiny lips.
"They're not real fries", I declared , "they're Artisanal".

I also won't eat 'fast food' fries unless there is no where else to eat or I have no other options but I must say my all time favorite new fry is a sweet potato fry. It tastes like a sweet potato with the crunchiness of a french fry, sweet and salty at the same time and that is a face loader if I ever heard of one . But Susan your fries sound scrumptious , wonder if I can get them in the burg.
