Meryl Streep is astounding in this movie.

It took less than 5 minutes for this amazing actress to disappear in this film.  She becomes Margaret Thatcher so completely that you forget that it is an actually Meryl Streep doing her thing.  The most striking part of the performance is the unbelievable nuance she brings to her performance as she portrays Mrs. Thatcher at several ages but mostly as an elderly woman on the verge of Alzheimers.  

I wondered, while watching this film,  how she does it?  How does it feel to fast forward 20 years and see yourself elderly and mentally failing?  It has to be scary as hell but she does it with such grace and humanity.  Bravo, Meryl.  See you at the Oscars!
