Idle Chatter
The time spent in my car is more than I spend at home. True tales of a car dweller.
I notice them everywhere. People, usually women, in their cars, most often in parking lots all over Los Angeles. The parking lot of the school, the pharmacy, the Starbucks lot. Trader Joe's, Costco, the big Ralphs supermarket. People behind the wheel on their phones, putting on make-up, eating lunch, texting, talking, driving, WAITING. Did we get our degree's and work hard just to find ourselves trying to eat a salad in the car while driving and not spill the dressing all over the steering wheel? It's getting kind of crazy. I "strategize" my parking lot waiting based on traffic and my schedule. No sense going home when you have to be somewhere on the other side of town within the hour. I therefore am fully prepared. I have a full set of plastic cutlery in my glove box. I have sweatshirts, umbrella's, water and some kind of reading material with me all the time. I might as well sleep at night in the car and not waste time coming into the house at all. I'm thinking of pimping my ride. Microwave in the glove compartment, mini-fridge in between the back seats and a special tray that slides out from under the steering wheel. Anyone know anyone at Ford?

.............and most important, a fee box for when your kids jump in the car and say "Mom would you mind taking Sally home ? It's right on the way "
