Damaged Goods, No More!
Last night's Downton Abbey finale warmed me heart.
This is no Little House On The Prairie by any means, but last night's episode contained a father-daughter talk between Lord Grantham and his daughter Mary that sent me flying for the tissues. Although I knew that Mary would finally get together with Matthew, (as most of this show is deliciously predictable), I had no idea that Lord Grantham would learn of Mary's unfortunate dead-dude-in-the-bed episode and basically tell her that she was still a person of worth, who only deserved the very best, who should, without question, move on and release herself from the self-pitying quick sand of "damaged goods".
That's one awesome, early 20th century, Daddy.
We don't always need our parents approval, but when we get it, we soar.

When they finally finally finally kissed it was like we had won the superbowl. Lots of towel waving in this household. That said we all want Maggie Smith to move in with us, don't you?

Finally, saw the finale. I broke down, too, when "papa" went straight to the heart of the matter, literally. And the end, THANK GOD. Is there a Season 3?
