Mother Of All Mirror Issues

I must not be spending enough time in front of the mirror because....

I said Hello to myself.

I knew that my eyesight was failing because I now need reading glasses.  But this was the first time I said hello to myself. I must be getting old.

I was in a store shopping with a friend.  We did our usual gossip-shopping, talking more than we were buying,  kind of hanging out and catching up as we strolled thru the store.  Finally, my friend decided to try on a few things and we walked toward the dressing room, still engrossed in conversation.  That's when it happened.

I walked toward a shelf full of shoes and glanced to my right.  There I saw someone who was also shopping and she was looking at me like she knew me.  I smiled to the old-ish shopper with the cursory friendly nod you would give someone you perceived to be staring. It took me longer than one would think to realize that I was looking into a mirror and had just given myself the friendly smile!  What the fuck?  I cracked myself up but didn't let on to my friend that I had just lost my mind and mistook myself for someone else.  If I had looked younger it would have been OK!

(A reissue of an old favorite!)

See I would look in the mirror and say to myself , who is she ........man does she look old . Then realizing it was my reflection I would say "Damn I look good for my age " *lol*
