If You Plan It, He Won't Come
At least during baseball season.
Did you ever see the film FIELD OF DREAMS? You know the one where Kevin Costner hears a voice that tells him to mow down his cornfields and build a baseball field at the risk of losing everything? That's pretty much been my story since I married a baseball fanatic. My husband would TOTALLY do that.
This week? We are hosting a school event at our house and after already juggling the date around his basketball schedule I now find myself smack in the middle of a Phillies/Dodgers playoff series and can't get him home for the event. 160 people. Food. Wine. Headmaster. The whole nine. No husband. All I can say is, Jimmie Rollins better freakin' pull it off for me again, because I will be REALLY pissed off if he stays and they LOSE.
At least I don't have any cornfields in my backyard.
Sigh.
