Ten Inches
Relax. I'm talking about our first big snowstorm of the season.
As I sit writing this, we East Coasters are in the throws of a huge, slow-moving winter snowstorm. Flights are canceled, roads are impassable and last minute holiday shopping is snarled. For my friends that are traveling, my heart goes out to you. Nothing is worse then getting stuck in the "next available flight out" line.
To my friends who made it to the Vermont slopes before the storm, I'M
SO JEALOUS. Although the high winds on the chairlifts will feel like a
laser peel so good luck with that.
I'm embracing the home-snow-bound thing today!
This is the one time when I'll let my pyromaniac boys build a fire in the fireplace. The last time that they did it, they had perfect placement of the logs and twigs but insisted on putting a box of stale Rice Krispies at the top just to "see what would happen".
Call me crazy, but I love a good ten inches...especially when I'm not
traveling. In fact, I'm a little jacked-up because I heard that we
may be getting 6-8 more before this afternoon. The goal today is to enjoy the beautiful white blanket and not kill anyone in the process.
I'm gonna put on my snowshoes and walk around aimlessly in my neighborhood.

Keep your ten inches and I'll add 6 more........... I detest the white stuff, the only place it is pretty is on a postcard. Sorry but I love my sun, my heat and no sweeping/shoveling ....Now MORE TO COME Christmas Eve night , when it does I'll blow it your way *s*
