When I Was A Not-So Golden Globe

It's a little bit of sour grapes but when I was pregnant, the material of Amy Adams gorgeous dress would barely cover my right thigh.

I was a humongous pregnant lady. Glowing? Certainly... especially when wearing bright colors. But never in a million years did I ever look that glamorous. In fact, when I was in my last trimester, I went to a few events wearing an enormous low cut, rich red, satin caftan that I found by luck on sale. In my mind, I thought I was the it girl. The best part about the 50 pound weight gain was my immense rack. I had serious clevage for the first time ever and I rocked it whenever possible. In fact, I had some of the most awesome sex of my life back then. But when I look at pictures of pregnant celebrities all stunningly cute and petite compared to the photos of me wearing that side of barn moo-moo, it always reminds me that beauty exists in our own minds.

Amen for that!
