They should have handed out earplugs with those 3D glasses.
Before we move into the Oscars, my favorite TV event of the year, there is more to say about the Grammy's. Old school legend plays 2nd fiddle to off key newcomer.
How awful it must have been for Stevie Nicks, who is struggling enough to sing at all, to have to pair up with Grammy winning Taylor Swift? Someone should have taken out the proverbial hook and put us all out of our misery. It was embarrassing to watch and I was grateful that they didn't make it worse by letting Steve Colbert back on stage to make any more of his funny (not) or glib (not) commentary about the performance. BTW, What was he doing there anyway and how bad did you feel for his daughter? Okay. getting off subject. Sorry.
Stevie, who is somewhat of a rock legend, must have needed the gig and gone out for the sympathy vote. What say we all download Rhiannon for old times sake?
I don't know. I hate to say it, gulp, but maybe Kanye was right. Look at the difference between Beyonce's performance and Taylor's. It was like going from
the sublime to the ridiculous. A Mypheme nod to Stevie Nicks for pushing through, doing what had to be done and getting out there!

It was painful, wasn't it? Couldn't they have at least turned Taylor's mic down so we could hear Stevie? (Does this mean we're old?)
"Stand back stand back
In the middle of the room
I did not hear from you."
