Love Them Hormones
An observation while waiting for the doctor.
It’s funny to be sitting in the gynecologist office at the end of your days of producing hormones.
There you sit there waiting for some awful test where they have to dig around in a long unused cavern to find out why your body is all out of whack.
Just then, you look around and see a new Dad sitting with his six week old baby while the new mother is getting a checkup. The baby is sleeping in his arms, so sweet, making little noises, that soft hair, those little fingers……Then you look at the dad. He has bags under his eyes, he is all disheveled, and a totally wiped out. The new mom emerges. She still has the “baby fat,” bags under her eyes, and hair in that “I have not been able to take a shower” pony tail. She quickly asks new dad if the baby has pooped and he leans down to smell…..The answer seems to be no. So, now they have to try to transfer the sleeping baby to the car seat and not wake him. A new parents dilemma for sure.
That’s when you remember that you maybe going through a change in life, but your children can travel with their own backpacks, you don’t have to hunt for a baby sitter, and you get to sleep through the night……when you are not having hot flashes of course……..

So true but you know , when I see those angelic faces or having just celewbrated my 'niece's' 4th birthday , somedays I think I want those days back instead of hot flashes ; until I hear the first howling of a baby . Then I am glad my time has been served , now onto grandkids ........someday .
