Yoga With A Splash
Good news! I may be able to master the Bird of Paradise Pose now without the face plant.
I love the clothes, I love the spirit, but I can't do most of the poses. Flexible; yes, balanced; not even close. I've even had private lessons and I still tip over. I thought the hot yoga might do the trick but the sweaty man with the hairy body in front of me grossed me out so badly that it benched me for a year. It's so frustrating because I know that yoga is one of the best things that you can do for your body. So you can imagine my excitement when I recently read about a new kind of yoga that's gaining popularity in India -- water yoga.
Apparently water yoga can be performed for much longer than other forms of yoga as your body does not get tired as quickly. You are more buoyant, more flexible and, my favorite, more balanced.
I can't wait for this to come to my town. My only other hope is that the lululemon engineers come up up with a flattering, wet yoga suit...with good coverage, of course.

Urdhva Dhanurasana might be a challenge. Guess lululemon will have to sell nose plugs too!
I can see shavasana on a floaty with a nice cool beverage in my future.
