A Mypheme encore blog!

Profile: I am a Keritan treated, single processed, medium brunette
seeking new relationships.

I am recently divorced...although no attorneys or mediators were present, the split was final and binding. I had been with my beauty salon for 15 years. The decision to leave was made as a result of feeling taken for granted and disrespected. Taken for granted is when the owner of the salon raises your price to an F'en $70.00 for a blow after all those loyal years without the slightest warning, and disrespect is when you have a client for 15 years at 2x a month for a single process, 2x a week for blowouts, both kids 1x a month for haircuts and not honoring the volume and the time the client has spent with your salon. I'm getting all frizzy just thinking about it.

The dating process after so many years is "hair raising".

Finding the right stylist and colorist can be both exhilarating and disconcerting. "Will they have the right products?" "Will they be available to me?" "Will I have to make witty conversation?" I enjoy being in a committed conversation. My eyes never wander.

Plain and simple, the art of the blow dry is sacred and when you have "met the one", you just know that it is right!!!

For now, I have to move on and begin a new chapter. There is a team out there for me. Maybe I will meet someone who looks like Frederic Fekkai and a colorist who can apply foil like Mattise. I have to get used to this new status. Perhaps E Harmony? Is there an "H" date?

I went through that and let me tell you how awful it felt ...then someone suggested a salon right near my home. A dome shaped building was intimidating enough but the owner did my hair once and now we are hooked *s* She loves doing my hair and I look mah-ve-lous dah-ling *wink* It's a hit and miss process but there is a "lid for every pot" out there ( :

You will find someone special. After my divorce I was on my way to work when this man stopped the traffic so I could get to work. I came home I invited him for dinner and guess what We have been together for 30 years. He is 13 years younger than me.

Finding someone to tame your locks is no easy feat...I should know! Your hair is probably rebelling against foreign hands right now. When the "right ones" come along, things will "smooth over". Don't give up...with summer on it's way you need to find your ally in the war against the frizz and believe me, you will! Good luck to you sista! ;)

Jamie, I SO relate....After m ore yrs than I care to divulge my hair person in NYC is unavailable.. SO, i had to switch (armed with color formulae, perm instructions etc.) The new "hairdoer" is slower, not up to the former stylist. But , I figure I'll give her time to break in and the location is good, hours are flexible and price is the same. Therefore, I am putting the whole hair anxiety into perspective as long as I am presentable and no one has looked cross-eyed at my head!!!! I am not downplaying the trauma!!!!! Bon chance.....
