SURReal Housewives of DC

Now you can let out that giant sigh of relief!

The Real Housewives of DC is finally ready to roll.  And what a big surprise, Michaele Salahi made it into the show.  First of all, who dresses like that anyway?  They all look like they are going onto the set of Sex and the City, only not as cool.  Who can stand more of this drivel they call television?   More celeb-u-tants taking their vacuous lives into our living rooms.  My only question is, why didn't they draft Sarah Palin?  She looks like she could be one of these women.  Oh, I forgot, she doesn't live in DC.  Not yet anyway.  OOHHH make me shudder at the thought.  The producers of this show are blogging about how they had nothing to do with the Salahi's busting into the State dinner, "bust" being the operative word.  I frankly think they are full of shit.  What an amazing publicity windfall!

The producer Andy Cohen goes on to talk about how they hope to capture real housewives interacting in the political arena, conversing about politics.  From the soundbites it looks like its more about the politics of what they are wearing, whose party they are going to and locking up their clothing and jewelry so their kids won't get into it.  That sounds VERY consequential and riveting, doesn't it?
Check it out for yourself on August 5th.  I for one, will not be tuning in!

This whole Housewives franchise is a major disappointment. It could be so rip roaring funny but instead its just f-ing stupid.
