Marital issues are bubbling up in the world of cryogenics.

In todays NYT's magazine there was article about how cryogenics is causing marital problems.  It appears as though it is mostly men who want to put their bodies on ice and the women in their lives don't want anything to do with it. There are philosophical, spiritual. religious and financial reasons why the issues bubble up.  I think it really boils down to immortality or wanting to take it with you.  That kind of saving for the future would make me crazy.  "Honey, you cant buy that car, we are saving for the space ship I will need in the year 3010."  Can you imagine?  Tightwad husbands gone awry!

I figure if my spouse really wants to be refrigerated, than so be it.  There are so many other things i would resent like bad anniversary gifts,  rudeness, going to the bathroom with the door open, that kind of stuff.  But if my dude wants to chill after he dies, thats really not a problem.  He may even inspire a new cocktail or put more meaning into the word brain freeze.  I just hope the sucker remembers me when they thaw him in about 1000 years.  Now that's what I call immortality!
