It's exhausting, this summer vacation thing.

The scheduling alone can give you gray hair which is a sucky bummer as I already have to get those babies colored more than I ever had to before.  But lets talk planning for a family vacay.  For some reason it  takes all the fun out of going away.  Hunting the house for all the appropriate sports gear.  Charging ipods, ipads and all the other devices.  Packing cords, batteries, camera's.  Halting newspapers, shipping off the dogs, stopping the mail and changing a bazillion appointments. That's all before you pack one thing in a suitcase.  And I always want to pack HEAVY so I don't have to do the dreaded laundry while on vacation.  So that means you have to pack all kinds of ibuprofen and other medicines because it is likely that I will pull out my back while hauling the luggage around.  The truth? I need a vacation from going on vacation.  Backyard camping anyone?
