Did she really disappear into the Pacific Ocean?
The Earhart Project thinks not. Based on some make-up artifacts found on a remote island in the Pacific, the Earhart Project leaders are going back to the island to look for DNA to prove their theory that Amelia, and her co-pilot, Fred Noonan, successfully landed their plane, but were never found.
Amelia Earhart's story is one of those great inspirational women stories. In the 1930's, this glamorous aviation goddess took the bull by the horns and showed the world that she could do whatever a man could do. And thanks to this research, we now know that she did it with a little make-up too.
I for one, never go anywhere without a little make-up. I keep a little in my car, my office desk drawer and a fair amount in my handbag. You never know who you're going to run in to.
I don't know about you, but I take comfort in the fact that Amelia was "packing".

I like make up as much as the next gal but I still maintain that what you see is what you get.............. oh sure I could enhance my eyes, etc but for what ? I agree with Amelia and say I always 'fly light'
Did you know that Hillary Swank is playing her in a new movie??????
I love Hilary Swank and it will be a fabulous movie , I can just tell
Just watched this film and I thought it to be fabulous ......she was always my heroine anyway but Hilary Swank did it up right !
