Exercise Ho
You may know me as the hair ho, but I've recently changed professions.
The other day, I entered the zone called Exercise Ho-dom. I woke up feeling like I could get a workout in before my conference call so I started with a 7am , four mile power walk. Because I work from home, (lucky me, my garage is used as a warehouse), I can usually schedule things around work. I had my conference call and then after eating a bagel or two, my friend Janet called and wanted to know if I wanted to take a 9:30 Lotte Berk class. I guess I could fit that in too, so I went for it. Afterward, I came home, paid some invoices, returned some calls, checked some shipping orders and ate leftovers. About an hour later, my friend Susan called and wanted to know if I wanted to go for a power walk.
"I already did one at 7 this morning" I apologetically offered.
"You animal," she replied.
And then I thought for a second and said, "You know what?...I can go again."
Summertime does that to you...especially when your kids are away for a few weeks. After my second walk, I was starting to feel it in my legs. I'm in okay shape, but not Olympic material-- that's for sure.
Around 6pm, my husband came home and said, "F-diner. Let's go for a bike ride."
I went for the chocolate. Why not? I hopped on the bike and we rode sixteen miles! The chocolate carried me all the way-- although as we pulled into our driveway, my crotch didn't arrive until 10 minutes later.
Kind of like a ho feels, no?
