The Big C did not disappoint.

Well, despite the expected manipulation, the inherent sadness and inevitable loss,
The Big C did not disappoint.  It may be one of the most honest, interesting, heartrending series on television.  I am sure there are those who have had cancer that won't think it a good idea to even think about a dark comedic look at having a terminal disease.  It is such a ballsy, own your life, tell it like it is conceit that despite the 'Big C", it is such an empowering experience to watch someone decide to live like to the fullest.
It is so well written and conceived and Laura Linney once again proves her incredible intelligence and skill with a very difficult role.
Showtime is gutsy and I applaud them for going forward with this show.  Time will tell whether the show can succeed.  Check it out.  Showtime. Monday Nights @ 10:30PM.
