A Film Unfinished

You must see this haunting film.

Yael Hersonski's "A Film Unfinished"  is one of the most striking, disturbing, fascinating documentaries that I have seen in quite some time and something not to miss if it comes to a theater near you.  The film features recently found Nazi propaganda footage shot in the Warsaw ghetto in 1942 and 43.   With as light a touch as possible, as the footage speaks for itself, the unedited footage is intercut with interviews from survivors of the ghetto and the Holocaust as well. It also features an interview with one of the cinematographers who was hired by the Nazi's to shoot scenes for the film.

I think the film is must-see viewing for everyone, for teenagers and other young viewers especially, who may have never seen, first hand, what it was like to live in the ghettos. Winner of the Sundance Film Festival and other awards the film is haunting and an important reminder of a time in history we must never forget.  Take your older kids to see this movie.
