I mean you can never start too early, can you?

OY.  Okay there.  I said it. OY. Football season has started again.  It's like was there really a break?  Does football season ever really go away?  Its not like its the only sport that is watched in my house, baseball being far and away the greater passion.  But there is something about the start of football season that lets you know that summer is over and we are definitely moving into the fall.  I myself am not actually qualified as a fan, I am the wife and mother of a fan so I guess that buys me some street cred.

Living in LA definitely has its advantages, but there is no football team here so anyone who is rooting for the sport has a team that they love in another city.  For our family that isn't a big deal, transplanted Phillies fans that we are. We are used to being the outsiders in the City of Angels.  But football makes for a very segmented population at the dinner table.  Just tonight we had Eagles, Jets and Giants fans at the dinner table.  The season is early so the conversation was light and lively.  Not so sure I could have them all to dinner in another month or so.  Its just the way it rolls here.  As the season progresses, its mostly Eagles fans that come around and I try to stay out of the way.  I mean how many cheese steaks can they eat?  I don't even want to know.  All I know is that the time has come for me to start running errands on Sunday, anything to stay out of the football fray.  Its not all bad, really.  I get a lot done!  Go Eagles!
