Pass The Placebo
Take two and call me in the morning.
This week, The Journal of Sexual Medicine published a study that focused on 50, premenopausal women between the ages of 35 - 55 who suffered from "sexual arousal disorder". In the study, these women were given a "powerful pill" that promised to give them quality rack time.
Turns out that the pill worked. Turns out that the pill was a placebo.
How do you explain that?
After past sexual histories were taken, the women were prescribed the pill and given the direction of trying to have sex in a completely different way at least 3 times a month. By providing the simple instructions of "just trying something different" they all willingly went BACK IN THE GAME. The "pill" made them think that their problem would be solved but in reality the new direction made them forget what their minds had previously locked on to.
There you have it...Behavior modification girlfriends. That's how they get people who are afraid to fly back in airplanes.
The mind is a powerful thing. You can teach it new things when you trick it a bit.
