Whats the point?

Make birthday plans during playoff season?  I think not.
Every year it's the same story.  My husbands birthday is always
during baseball playoff season.  It is almost impossible to plan anything
without first having a handle on the standings.
 
One year we planned an elaborate birthday party, catered, rentals, the whole
9.  Literally 2 days before we had to call the whole thing off.  In fact, the birthday
boy decided that he had to go to the game and flew to Colorado. Alone. No family. No party. And then his team LOST.  Is there something wrong here??

So unless the team really stinks, has no shot of the wild card or is otherwise in the tank its best to lay off the party planning thing.  Maybe I should just plan a girls night out or a day at the spa?  Sounding better and a lot safer.  Maybe this isn't so bad after all?  Go Phillies.
