Winter White, What?
This past week the temp in LA hit 100 degrees. In November. I was driving
and started cracking up at what had happened in my closet that morning.
Growing up in the Mid-west in the 60's and 70's I learned a lot about dressing appropriately from my Mother and the conventions of that time. It was absolutely a fashion don't to wear white after labor day. Honestly, I am not sure who invented the "rules" about what you are supposed to wear and when. Like any trend these things ebb and flow with time. But that stupid rule stayed with me for my entire life as if I would be struck down by lightening if I dared to give it a try.
All these years later I decided that it was too hot for denim and went for the white pants that hot day. Yup. White pants in November. I drove my car carefully. I didn't use the cell in the car. I cooked without burning anything. I got all my work done. NOTHING HAPPENED to me that day as a result of wearing white in winter. Whew! That was a close call!

I too was told no white after Labor Day , was it because the snow here in the burg was the same color .......... Who knows but I ventured to wear white and dress up it with holiday colors and like you Robbie ...........nothing happened except some people talked about it when they saw me. That's a good thing talk about me cause it means you have nothing else to talk about so girls don those whites , let's whiten up America *s*
