Bloat Festival

I can tell you one thing, it is a BAD idea to look at fashion magazines on the morning after Thanksgiving

Aside from the clothing envy, it is simply nauseating to look at skinny models or actresses after you have just beaten the world record for shoving in the turkey, stuffing, potatoes and endless desserts.  I still feel full and stuffed from the nights festivities and was mortified by the bikini's for winter travelers featured in the magazine.  As much as I wouldn't mind seeing if my pelvic bones could even begin to stick out I realize that I wouldn't trade my one night of gluttony with abandon for anything.   Its' a tradition for god sakes.  And a night to be thankful for things like family, friends and the amazing, high caloric food. Today I am also thankful for having an endless supply of Tums.

As far as the fashion magazine goes, they can just blow me today. Yep, that's right. Blow me.  Not only do I not care about the skinny models and the flat, no call that concave stomachs featured,  I don't care that I ate my way through the city of Los Angeles. I had a wonderful evening with my family and I look forward to doing it all over again next year!

I have always said it's NOT about the packaging but the 'gift' inside . So I had my day when I was 95 pounds and longhair and the like , now I am a mellowed out , in love with my husband ( and family) type of gal. I miss those days of skinny minnie but I sure enjoyed myself over this Thanksgiving weekend as well.......... Hey Rob, can you pass me that pumpkin roll *s*
