Downward Dogged

Another injury?

My elbow has been bothering me for awhile and there's nothing like a little pain to get your mind going. I'm into that "your body is a temple" kind of thing and I started to become fearful that all my yoga worship was causing an injury of epidemic proportions. Every time I find an exercise that I love, some part of my body fails.

I dragged myself to an orthopedist and was diagnosed with lateral epicondylitis, also known as tennis elbow. I haven't picked up a racket in ten years because of a bad shoulder, so go figure-- but I found out that anyone can get tennis elbow from just using your fingers. My friend's sister is a jewelry designer and she got it from that!

I'm starting to suspect my blackberry usage because my elbow pain started a little after I finally broke down and purchased my first one. Not like I've been using it a lot, well…maybe more than I care to admit.

For example, after typing this blog I feel like I need to go ice it. My blackberry is going to send me to rehab…but I can live with that because at least it's not my Yoga.
