Starbucks recently announced that you can now pay for your latte with your phone.

Futurists have long projected that this type of payment will become the norm, the need for credit cars and cash may someday be obsolete.  Once you download the Starbucks app, and add cash to your Starbucks account, you will need only to stroll up to the register with your phone and flash the register. The scanner on the register will automatically deduct the drink from your account.

Its enough to make the coffee drinker buzz with excitement.    Lets face it, most of the time people waiting in line whip out their phones anyway so the potential for faster lines seems like an obvious upside. I heard that Target is going to be the next up for a similar payment option. When you think about it, what else could you need? A coffee and a trip to Target with only your phone in hand.  How dangerous will that be?
