Diet App's

Smart phone diet app's are the latest trend to catch on, for some that is.

Phone and computer apps like Lose It! are making a big splash. (About 7 million people have downloaded Lose It! program to date). This program helps you calculate what you eat, track your intake with a sharing component to allow you to gloat or cheat with your friends.  There is TheThinCam  on iTunes will let you take pictures of your food and convert that into calculations. It can also connect you with experts to help evaluate what you eat or should be eating.  The statistics for all of these websites claim a high success rate for those who stick with the programs.

This is all fine and well but really, all they need to do is show you the picture above and let you decide to either be blissfully fat and happy or depressed and decide to do something about it.  Really?  The perfect diet app for me would be one that would sense what I was eating and start yelling at me. "SHUT YOUR MOUTH NOW AND DON'T EAT ANYTHING ELSE!" Or  "DO YOU REALLY NEED THAT CHEESECAKE?"  or "YOU ALREADY HAVE ONE MUFFIN TOP, ISN'T THAT ENOUGH?" or "WHAT'S THAT IN YOUR BACK POCKET?, OOPS YOU DON'T HAVE BACK POCKETS." Stuff like that.  That would be so effective, don't you think?
