Bad Beauty Tips
Eye lash replacement therapy here I come.
I'm jealous of my friends who use beauty tools like it was their job. I won't name names, but I have several friends who have tremendous special ability in key critical areas...like my friend who can use tweezers like a neurosurgeon, or my friend who can give herself a knockout blow-dry without even looking in the mirror--letting alone burning her forehead. Or my sister, who can curl her eyelashes to perfection. Many, many years ago, she tried to show me how to do it. I just couldn't get it right and as a result, I left many eyelashes on the counter which to this day I swear never grew back.
I find that as I grow older, I tend to revisit situations that I could never conquer. I'm not going all "Oprah" or anything, but I have found that age has given me a certain bravery to try things I have previously failed in.
Why I picked eyelash curling is a whole other issue.
Someone, who I won't mention, suggested that I try using waterproof mascara (which dries faster) and heat my eyelash curler with my hairdryer ( 5- 8 seconds) so it can act like a curling iron.
Currently looking into a weave.

This is an evil tool.I once got a spasm in my write while curling and ripped half my lashes out. I've heated the curler too, heated my mascara (ruins it ) amongst other things to get my lashes to look like Brooke after Latisse. Now I close the eye I am applying the mascara to, and they seem to curl more.Stupid mascara tricks is a potential blog....like the time the fake eyelashes decided to attach themselves to my eyebrow.Look out Groucho....

I am and never was a pro at curling my eyelashes but I always wanted thos Sophia Loren eyelashes . Let me count the times I curled my eyelid with my lashes and ended having my eyes water so my mascara ran. Now I just buy any mascara that will make my thinning lashes look longer, thicker and pretty ......let me clue you in .....none of them really work. It is what it is and besides now I wear glasses so you can't see the damn things anyway !

Deathly afraid of "eye-lash" ripping...up there with water-boarding.

I will say it only happened once. That was enough.Eyes really look odd half a lid of lashes- and no way to do a comb over. I use Maybelline Falsies Debi- it "really" does work.I have never had long beautiful lashes but they are "almost": thick.
