When All Else Fails
When you have a big crew coming for dinner and not a lot of time I often to go to old reliable: The Silver Palate Cookbook.
I had 10 coming for dinner in an hour and a half with little time to prep. So I whipped up a batch in no time flat, it was easy and delicious.
There are a zillion cookbooks out there and a relentless list of recipes and cookbooks available on line. But when you are in a pinch, if you have a boatload of people coming by for a last minute meal, my trusty friend THE SILVER PALATE always delivers.
The famous Chicken Marbella is likely the best known recipe from the book, but tonight I made he linguini with clam sauce which is absolutely insane. I had 10 coming for dinner in an hour and a half and I whipped up a batch in no time flat and it was easy and delicious. My pal Susan told me a long time ago to add a bit of white wine and some spicy red pepper flakes. My family loved it!
I couldn't google the recipe so your gonna have to go buy the book on line. All I can as is YUM. Watch out Julia and Julia, you got nothing on the Silver Palate girls.

My copy just fell apart :( need to get another but I used it until it wore out , love this book
