Poor Woman's Face-lift

I am molting and the wrinkles are still there!

I decided to do everything I could that was relatively pain free and non-surgical to stop the hands of time on my face. Nora Ephron wrote about her neck...my thing? The jowls and wrinkles around the mouth and the pores on my face the size of moon craters.  Aging, what a lovely experience.  Instead of the knife and the botox, I decided to go old school and start with the chemical peel.  No-one told me that I was going to molt for about 2 weeks afterward and that your face feels eternally sunburned.   Here is what I learned the hard way.  You cannot wear black as the little pieces of your face go beyond even the worst case of dandruff.  You cannot fly.  As soon as you are in the air your face feels like the sahara desert.  You cannot have dinners in a bright restaurant, anything above candlelight and your dining partners worry that your flakes will flavor their food. And your face is so shiny that no amount of make up will cover you up.  You could see yourself reflected in my forehead.

Net result: pores look SLIGHTLY smaller.  Your skin feels baby soft.  That's about it. Was it worth molting for 8 days?  We will have to see.  As for the jowling? NO CHANGE.  Sigh.  Off to see what else I can try!

I say , age with grace not with products. Yeah yeah , we all get old, we all wrinkle but beauty comes from within. And that's what she said ..........
