A Stun Gun gets through TSA screeners but not my La Mer $155.00 Body Serum!

In case you missed it, a couple of days ago, the cleaning crew of a Jet Blue plane found a cellphone-size stun gun in the seat pocket of a plane arriving from Boston. Apparently it made it through security. 

WTF. How does that happen?

I just got over being pissed about leaving behind my expensive elixir at airport security when this story rolled in. My conversation with a TSA agent went something like this:

TSA: You can't take this.

ME: That is a really expensive La Mer product!

TSA: It's over 3 oz. and must be in checked luggage.

ME: I don't have checked luggage.

TSA: It can't go with you.

ME: You don't understand...it reduces the appearance of discolorations, restores a youthful clarity, and leaves your skin smooth and supple.

TSA: I don't care what it does.

ME: I just bought it.

TSA: No liquids over 3oz.

ME: I'm trying to fight the age thing without surgery. Have you no sympathy?

TSA: You're holding up the line Ma'am.

ME: You'd be calling me "Young Lady" if you let me keep the serum.

I watched him throw it into a bin and I simmered the whole way to New York. I hope that I run into him again. If his face looks like a baby's ass, I'll know he pocketed it.
