Fans get decked out for the midnight show. Been there, done that.

My kids are getting dressed up to see the midnight show of Harry Potter and it's bringing back memories.

OMG, did I love the Rocky Horror Picture Show. Best cross-dressing, cult film, ever.

Making your own home-made costume (I was a dead ringer for Janet Weiss, but then, so were the other 200 people dressed like her) and talking back at the screen was the highlight of my college years.

The audience participation was the best part. If you didn't want to go in costume, you could always travel light and bring a newspaper to cover your head and a squirt gun for rain during the "Over at the Frankenstein Place" musical sequence. SO MUCH FUN!

I'm beyond throwing hot dogs at the screen, but I may just break out and dance the Time Warp for my kids!

P.S.-Did you know that the film was selected for preservation in the United States National Film Registry by the Library of Congress as being "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant"?

It's up there with CITIZEN KANE! LOL!
