I love this photo for all the wrong reasons.

By now, you've all seen Angelina Jolie's first print ad for the luxury brand Louis Vuitton. It's an absolutely luscious photo. It features Jolie on a boat in Cambodia's Slem Reap province. Louis Vuitton claims that she's wearing her own clothes and has no makeup on. She's also sporting her own monogrammed Louis Vuitton Alto bag, an essential tote, for traveling deep in the jungle.

The 35-year-old movie star and humanitarian signed on to be the face of the brand in a deal worth nearly $10 million. I know that she'll donate a good portion of the proceeds to some impoverished country because that's what she does, but I'm getting mixed signals here and it's not because the cost of that bag could feed an entire village.

It's the no make-up claim.

You don't have to be a rocket scientist to see the smoky eyes, lip gloss and luminous cheeks and forehead.

Now I know why my into-the-woods snapshots don't look like that. I glisten, that's for sure, but I'm missing the make-up.

No wonder I can't post those photos. That's it! I'm going all smokey eye next time. I'm tucking a Kohl pencil in my pocket next to my DEET wipes.

Who needs truth in advertising?
