High Five, NYC

Gotta love New York!

Maybe I have been in LA too long, cooped up in my car, but I swear when I am in Manhattan, I am giddy to share my day with so much humanity.  In person. As in not driving by me but walking by me.  I am able to witness random acts of humanity first hand without any filter.   A man fixing the strap of his wife's shirt while going down the subway escalator.  Construction dudes laughing while doing a job of heavy lifting in impossible humidity. Then I had a random encounter that was quintessentially a New York experience.

I was walking down on a side street talking on the phone when 2 young men, dressed impeccably well in their suits strolled by deep in conversation.  Just as they were about to pass me, one of them stuck their hands out to the side to give me a passing high five.  For no apparent reason. I gave the guy a high five and we both kept walking without missing a beat.  Totally a random hello.  Gotta love New York!
