This movie will have you running for the hand sanitizer.

Steven Soderbergh's movie Contagion opened this weekend. Contagion follows the rapid progress of a lethal airborne virus that goes worldwide and kills within days. Being a card carrying germ-a-phobe, I'm desperate to see it but I can't seem to convince my husband to do so, in spite of the awesome cast.

"I'd rather be tied to a chair and watch loops of 'The Smurfs'," he pleaded. My husband is not a fan of medical shows, horror films or movies that ooze any fluid. He does like a good thriller but I can't seem to sell this point.

"You should not be seeing a movie like this" he warned. "It could cause you to go on a Clorox Clean-Up bender".

I did that once when I learned that a suspected mono infested teen was rolling around in our basement. I even used the surgical gloves that I pinched from my gyno's office. (He made me wait for 20 mins. and they were purple...I couldn't resist.)

I'm sure that I can find a friend to go. I have plenty of peeps who always have hand sanitizer in their bags. Target audience, no?
