The slow down effects of a Pencil Skirt.

Although the look is sleek and sophisticated, I find the "hugging" aspect of the style very anxiety producing. Forget about getting in and out of a car...it's way beyond mastering the ass-first technique. I find that when I wear one of these numbers, I need an assistant to swing my legs into the vehicle. I do love the look, but it's some serious leg bondage. If you're like me, your thighs will be screaming "Attica" in no time.

But that's not the worst part of a Pencil Skirt. It's the walking. Even with a kick pleat in the back, your stride is restricted. There is nothing worse than having to take itty bitty baby steps when you're used to booking it.

Match it with a pair of heels and you need to add at least a half hour to your travel time.
