Celebrate Your Curves

There was an amazing show of Graffiti Art in Los Angeles at the Museum of Contemporary Art.  This shot was taken from a poster by CR Steyck III.

What an amazing statement.  I was struck by how simple it was, how perfect the image and how much I wanted to believe it!  I spent so much of my teenage years not wanting to embrace my curves and I have tried hard to convince my daughter to love herself, her body, her curves and worry about other things.

CR Steyck III is a California  artist who started by doing his art on surfboards.  He is a very accomplished photographer, artist and was celebrated in the film Dog Town and Z boys a few years ago.   I am not sure he meant to help women celebrate their curves or had an appreciation for women, either way, very cool image!
