George Harrison Doc=Must See TV

I feel terrible now that I spent much of my youth pining for the wrong Beatle.

Leave it to Martin Scorcese to make a masterful documentary about a Beatle.  I missed "GEORGE HARRISION; LIVING IN THE MATERIAL WORLD" that premiered in October on HBO.  Luckily, I loaded the HBO App,  HBO-GO on my iPad and was able to catch the film at my leisure.  I was always a fan of George's and of Scorcese, but I was really blown away by the film.  I was doubly blown away by so much of the footage that had never been seen before.  But mostly, I was blown away by George the man, now better known as the "spiritual" Beatle.  He didn't just dabble in his quest for a more spiritual world, but actively lived it, studied it, was inspired by it and felt it deeply for most of his adult life.  Not to mention the music he wrote, and the constant work he did with his life, marriage and of course, his guitar.  Read this NYT review and then watch the film.  It's been assembled by the master, and is moving and riveting.
